A massive explosion was reported Sunday evening by local residents who witnessed a sharp vivid flash over the city of Donetsk.
Accoding to Internet users, the blast broke out in the city’s residential area ‘Tekstilshchik’ where pro-Russian separatists’ ammunition park is located.
Dmytro Yarosh, the leader of right-wing party ‘Pravy Sektor’ said on Facebook that Ukrainian troops had wiped out an ammunition depot of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic. According to him, 20 BM-21 launcher vehicles were destroyed and over 200 terrorists were killed.
In their turn, separatists say that the explosion occurred at a chemical plant in Donetsk, Russian news agency RIANOVOSTI reports with a reference to Konstantin Dolgoff, co-chairman of ‘the People’s Front of Novorossiya’.
