Lukashenka and his son observe parade on the occasion of China's victory over Japan

The grand show was attended by 12,000 servicemen and 500 pieces of equipment.

Beijing is celebrating the 70th anniversary of China’s victory over Japan and the end of World War II. Head of Belarus also arrived in the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Alyaksandr Lukashenka observed the parade with his youngest son Mikalai.

 Only two European leaders (the head of Serbia and the Czech Republic) arrived at the invitation of China’s Xi Jin Ping. Apart from Alyaksandr Lukashenka, several leaders of the former Soviet Union took part in the celebrations – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev, as well as leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. All in all the celebration was attended by representatives of 20 countries, as well as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

It should be noted that the Chinese army is the largest in the world (more than 2 million people). During the festive speech, the head of China, Xi Jin Ping, announced the reduction of the Chinese army by 300 thousand people.
