Light aircraft IL-103 has crashed a few kilometers from the Brest airport. Aircraft commander Mikhail Myadzvedzeu and senior pilot observer Alyaksandr Barysiuk died in the accident.
Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the crew was on a mission to monitor the situation with forest fires. The plane belongs to Bellesavia which is among other things responsible for aviation protection of forests from fires.

Bellesavia has three more aircraft of this type, their use has been suspended pending investigation of the accident.
