Kyiv wants to establish single economic space with Belarus

There are also plans to have it with other countries of the Eastern Partnership.

Ukraine Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin said that his country will initiate discussion about creating a single economic space of the Eastern Partnership countries — Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus. It was announced at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.

According to Klimkin, the Eastern Partnership countries intend to hold consultations on this issue and to meet in the fall to discuss the situation.

He added that it is necessary to analyze in which areas the introduction of a single economic space is possible following the example of similar agreements in the European Union.
