Forbes: Russian tycoons make total of $100 bn for year


The total fortune of businessmen included in Forbes’ Top 200 Richest People in Russia has reached $460 billion. For the last year, they have made $100 bn.

According to Forbes, during the past year the number of dollar millionaires in Russia increased from 77 to 96. The capital of the least richest tycoon put on the list is $500 mln.

Leonid Michelson, a co-owner of Novatek company (gas production), is named the richest Russian in 2017 (as well as he was in 2016). Forbes pegs his fortune at $18.4 bn (+$4 bn for the last year).

Alexei Mordashov, a co-owner of Severstal company, takes the second place –  $17.5 bn (+ $6.6 bn for the last year).

Vladimir Lisin, the owner of Novolipetsk Iron & Steel Works, ranks third with $16 bn (+$ 6.8 bn for the last year).
