Eight potential presidential candidates to collect signatures

Nominating groups of unemployed Ramanouskaya and the Cossack Ulakhovich were registered, and the group of political prisoner Statkevich was refused registration.

Five candidates have received the right to collect 100,000 signatures for registration of presidential candidates. The first 3 of the applicants were registered on July 17. The following nominating groups have been registered:

1. Syarhei Haydukevich

2. Syarhei Kalyakin

3. Tatstsiana Karatkevich

4. Alyaksandr Lukashenka

5. Anatol Lyabedzka

6. Zhanna Ramanouskaya

7. Viktar Tsyareshchanka

8. Mikalay Ulakhovich

Interestingly, Zhanna Ramanouskaya is currently unemployed, and her nominating group is the smallest one – 93 people and 17 coordinators. Another contender, Mikalai Ulakhovich, is the supreme chieftain of the Belarusian Cossacks.

But the initiative group of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich was not registered by the CEC. After all, according to the Central Election Commission, he does not have the right to vote, because he is “in a state of conviction.”

The group of the businessman Andrei Kanavets was not registered, because he had not lived in Belarus for the past ten years. In addition, among the members of his nominating group, 15% had incorrect data.

Only 55 people enrolled in the group of Tamara Birukova, while, according to the law, the nominating group must include at least 100 people.

Out of 101 members of the Iryna Pershyna group, the first 3 turned out to be foreigners, and only 39 people had their data right.

Syarhei Zablotski sent his application for participation in the elections by e-mail, which violates the law.

The group of Alyaksandr Yudayeu has only 94 members – others were registered with errors.
