Non-residential building from 17 Verasnya street in Brest, included in the list of cultural and historical values, collapsed on the sidewalk and road. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. Most of the area around the house that collapsed was not fenced.

The building has long been uninhabited, but in January this year, the chief architect of Brest Mikalai Vlasyuk promised that the house will be renovated, but now it will be much more difficult to do. Only the first floor is left from the building, those above (the second floor, attic and roof) collapsed on the road.

Near the collapsed building is a construction site of residential and office buildings run by Eledi Group. Its representatives declined to comment, while builders reacted very hostile to journalists and prevented them from taking pictures.
