Brest blogger Siarhey Pyatrukhin released

The journalist spent 10 days in the Brest police detention center. He wrote about his release on Facebook.

On March 14, SSiarhey Pyatrukhin was sentenced in absentia to 10 days in jail for participating in the non-parasite rally.

In court, the witness told the police officer that the blogger was “provoking people” with a camera.

Before the trial, the activist went abroad, but the he was detained at the border crossing when he was returning from Poland and sent to serve his sentence.

Siarhey Pyatrukhin is a well-known Brest videobloger who exposes corruption schemes of the authorities and speaks about them on his youtube channel “People’s Reporter”.
