Belaruskali explained why it would not cooperate with Uralkali

“Belaruskali” sees no benefit in partnership with the “Uralkali”, said the general director of the company Ivan Halavaty at the international industry conference in Minsk.

“Starting from 2013, Belaruskali and the Belarusian Potash Company have gained a reputation among customers and manufacturers. In my view, it is a self-sufficient company able to carry out its activities independently,” said Ivan Halavaty, when asked about the resumption of cooperation with Uralkali.

On the export side, the Belarusian Potassium today covers 20% of the global potash market needs.

“In the last two or three years, we have occupied the leading position in the export of potash fertilizers in the world,” said the director.

“Belaruskali” is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of potash fertilizers in the world, the company consists of four mining administrations, support and service units.
