Belarusian sound producer Matsulevich fails to get Grammy award


Grammy was given to the young american rapper Kendrick Lamar for the track “Alright”

In an interview with Billboard magazine, one of the most popular rappers of the younger generation said he wanted to win in all categories where he was nominated (there were eleven, Lamar won five).

The award was historic for us – for the first time Belarusian musician could get the coveted gramophone.

 

The track ‘Trap Queen’, the music for which was written by a Belarusian Anton Matsulevich, known as Tony Fadd, was nominated for two statues: “Best Rap Song” and “Best rap performance.” It was performed American hip-hopper Fetty Wap.

“Trap Queen” became quite popular: it reached the 2nd position in the Billboard, went platinum in America, New Zealand and Denmark, golden in Australia and the UK. The Youtube video had more than 380 million views. The track received praised by Jay-Z and covered by Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, who today are among the three most successful performers in the world.
