Belarus beneficiary of Qatari visa waiver programme

Citizens of 47 countries, including Belarus, will have the chance get a free visa waiver upon arrival to Qatar.

It will be valid for 30 days and entitle the visitor to spend up to 30 days in Qatar (multiple-entry) with the possibility of applying for an extension of the waiver for an additional 30 days.

Another type of the waiver allow Citizens of 33 countries, mainly European, to spend a total of 90 days in Qatar.

“With 80 nationalities eligible for a free visa waiver upon arrival, Qatar is now the most open country in the region and we are delighted to invite visitors to discover our renowned hospitality, cultural heritage and natural treasures,” Daily Mail quotes Hassan Al Ibrahim, Acting Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority.

Visa relaxation measures have been taken amid the diplomatic crisis. In early June, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt accused Qatar of support for terrorists and ruptured diplomatic relations with Qatar. But residents of these countries (except Egypt) still can visit Qatar without a visa.
