Andrzej Poczobut bracing himself for the worst

Aksana Poczobut has had a two-hour visit to her husband today. In his opinion, five years of imprisonment which he is facing now might well be added to three years of suspended sentence imposed on the journalist for alleged slander of the President in July, 2012. All this may result in a grave penalty.
There has been little change
According to Andrzej Poczobut, the arrest did not come out of the blue: “Earlier I had one foot in prison, now I am standing firmly here.”
“Andrzej thanked all for support. Any day it will come to an end, he says. He was fully aware what country he lived in. He suggests that the sentence will be harsh. The charge should be served within ten days; it may happen on Friday,” Aksana Poczobut says.
At the moment the journalist is being kept alone in a ward for four persons. As Andrzej is not a “cooperative” defendant only today it became known which articles were regarded as libels, i.e. the texts on silent protest actions, execution of Kanavalau and Kavaliov, political prisoners, etc.
