Ludmila Aleksieyeva delivers her message to the political prisoners in Belarus

Belsat TV is running a new campaign “Solidarity with the political prisoners in Belarus”. More than 30 well-known people from Belarus, Poland and other countries will appear in short video clips, stating their message to the Belorussian prisoners of conscience. Today’s clip features Ludmila Aleksieyeva, a Soviet dissident and founder of a Moscow Helsinki group.

She will address Dzimitry Vuss, an idependent candidate for president and businessman, who was charged with organizing mass social disorder and sentenced to five and a half year of a prison camp – the longest sentence so far pronounced in trials against people arrested on December 19th.

Also, the audience and supporters of Belsat TV can join the campaign by sending their own clips with words of support for the Belorussian prisoners of conscience to salidarnasc@belsat.eu
