Last Saturday Alexei Shevchenko, a friend of Horlivka ex-‘people’s mayor’, got married. His wife posted wedding photos on social media: the newly-weds, their best man and bridesmaid are standing at a checkpoint on the road to the town and holding submachine guns and pistols in their arms.
The photos were shared by well-known Russian blogger Rustem Adagamov. ‘They are definitely driven to distraction,’ internauts comment the photos with sad irony.
