It is the first time that Belsat TV has broadcast and webcast a concert of one of the most popular Belarusian musical bands live.
Lyapis Trubetskoy’s performance took place on April 11, 2-14 as part of the concert Solidary with Belarus which is annually held by Warsaw-based organisation Wolna Białoruś. Bands Maleo Reggae Rockers (Poland), Amaroka (Belarus), Kozak System (Ukraine) also expressed their solidarity with the people of our country.
Belsat TV provided the opportunity of watching the event on television or online to those who were not able to come to Warsaw and enjoy the concert. In addition to our conventional livestream via Silverlight we organised a webcast with the usage of AdobeFlash player.
As viewing statistics reveals, this solution appeared to meet with success: over 3,000 views via Silverlight and over 11,000 – via AdobeFlash. The majority of viewers were from Belarus (nearly 10,000); the show being popular also among Ukrainians, Poles, Russians. There were some visitors from such far-off countries as Katar, the UAE, Morocco, India. Furthermore, the recorded version of the concert on Youtube has been viewed more than 10,000 times.
