A resident of Slonim has been punished for not rising immediately from his seat during the national anthem. The incident happened before a soccer match at the city stadium. The judge saw this as an administrative violation, reports Hazeta Slonimskaya.
A resident of Slonim did not rise from his seat at the city stadium during the national anthem before a soccer match. Administrative proceedings were filed against the man under Article 24.54 of the Administrative Code (“Violation of the requirements for the national anthem”).
In court, the man said that he had risen from his seat 15 seconds after the anthem started playing, because he was watching a video on his phone. Still, the judge found him guilty of violating the law and fined him 290 rubles.
