One suspect left on blast near Vitsebsk KGB


As the person who detonated the bomb was filmed by security cameras, several resembling people were arrested shortly after the incident; all but one already being released. The only suspect who remains in custody is to be either formally charged or freed within the next few days, Pavel Traulka, spokesman for the Investigative Committee, said.
According to the unconfirmed information, the man who previously phoned secret services and spoke against the authorities is targeted in the investigation. Moreover, the suspect might be “a person with visible signs of a mental illness”.
An improvised explosive device blew up near the KGB building in Vitsebsk at 18:48 on November 11, 2012. As a consequence of this, two windows were damaged. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 339 of the Belarusian Criminal Code (malicious hooliganism).
