On Tuesday, the verdict in the case of politicians Syarhei Tsikhanouski Mikalai Statkevich, bloggers Ihar Losik and Uladzimir Tsyhanovich, members of Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s election team Artsyom Sakau and Dzmitry Papou has been delivered in pre-trial detention centre Nr 3 in Homiel.

Political prisoners are accused of organizing mass riots.

No court date has been announced.

Another charge was brought against popular Belarusian Youtuber Uladzimir Tsyhanovich aka MozgON, human rights centre Viasna reports.

A criminal case has been initiated against Syarhei Sparysh, spokesman for the party Narodnaya Hramada and an associate of imprisoned politician Mikalai Statkevich.

As of June 29, 19 political prisoners were behind bars in Belarus.

The Belarusian authorities opened new criminal cases against bloggers criticising Alyaksandr Lukashenka and the current situation in the country, NEXTA Live Telegram channel reports.
