During today’s discussing the response to Western sanctions, Alyaksandr Lukashenka stressed the need to introduce restrictions against a number of European companies that sell their products on the Belarusian market.

The Belarusian authorities calls for putting an end to all the activities by the Goethe-Institut and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the country, Germany’s Federal Foreign Office reported on Wednesday.

The Belarusian government has banned the import of goods produced by a number of companies in light of ‘unfriendly actions against the Belarusian people’. The corresponding decision was made by the Council of Ministers on April 23.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed Decree Nr128 ‘On the Application of Special Measures’, the press service reported on Tuesday.
