On June 30, the Executive Board of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) officially suspended the membership of pro-Lukashenka Belarusian TV and Radio Company (BTRC) in the union, EBU’s press service told TUT.BY.

The police and the KGB arrested a ‘group of terrorists’ who are behind grave crimes in Hrodna and the region, including committing acts of arson and bombing to ‘exert pressure on security forces and their families’, state-controlled TV station Belarus 1 reported on Tuesday.

During Thursday’s meeting with representatives of state-owned mass media, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has made a comment on freedom of speech in Belarus and abroad.
