The reason for the deterioration of Andżelika Borys’ health may be the harsh confinement conditions in the remand prison in the Belarusian town of Zhodzina. She was placed there about a month ago.

Jailed journalist and activist Andrzej Poczobut has contracted coronavirus infection, the Belarusian Association of Journalists reports.

Hanna Panishava, the director of the Polish school, was also detained.
