On Monday, it has become known that the 22-year-old political prisoner Dzmitry Hopta was denied pardon, the human rights centre Viasna reports.

The pardon decree was signed on the eve of the so called Day of National Unity (September 17).

According to our own information, Pro-Lukashenka activist Yury Vaskrasenski has sent three letters to journalist and political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut, asking him to file a petition for pardon.

He believes that the Belarusian authorities should stop repressions and pressure.
