Ihar Barysau, chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), received a letter from Ryhor Kastusiou, the imprisoned leader of the Belarusian People’s Front party. The photo of the letter was published by RFE/RL.

The information about the termination of the case was confirmed by the company’s management, dev.by reports.

Ryhor Kastusiou, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Front party, is held in the notorious KGB jail ‘Amerykanka’.

When visiting the Belarusian Investigative Committee, Alyaksandr Filanovich, a defence lawyer of political prisoner Sofia Sapega, was allowed to familiarise himself with certain case papers.

On Monday afternoon, Yauhen Yushkevich, a Minsk resident and former investigator, stopped answering his phone. According to his girlfriend, the police were waiting for him not far from the block of flats.

Yuras Zyankovich, an American lawyer of Belarusian origin, was brutally detained in Moscow, RFE/RL reports with reference to Zyankovich’s wife Alena Dzenisavets.

The case against her was not closed, but the accusations against her still stand.

A businessman, a member of Viktar Babaryka’s team, Yury Vaskrasenski, became a guest of the “ObyektivNo” program on the ONT TV channel. Vaskrasenski is prohibited from giving comments to independent media, but, apparently, Belarusian law enforcement agencies allow him to take part in programs on state television.

Imprisoned opposition activist Maryia Kalesnikava refused to be present at the meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka, her defense lawyer Alyaksandr Pylchanka told Russian radio station Echo of Moscow on Tuesday.

In the KGB pre-trial detention center Alyaksandr Lukashenka spoke with Babaryka, members of the Coordination Council and the joint headquarters.
