The hearing may begin in May

Katsyaryna Andreyeva is to stand trial again.

It is the first time that journalist Ihar Ilyash has been allowed to have a day-long meeting with his wife, political prisoner Katsyaryna Andreyeva, in the Homiel penal colony. The couple saw each other in July, but the meeting lasted only four hours.

The term of detention of investigative journalist and Belsat TV contributor Ihar Ilyash has been extended; he has not been released on Monday.

Last time they saw each other was in April in the detention center.

This is her first letter after quarantine.

The official Minsk did not expect that the incident with the Ryanair plane would “qualitatively change the West’s attitude towards the dictatorship in Belarus.”

Katsya was asked if she admitted her guilt. She said that she did not.

On March 26, Kastrychnitski district of Minsk completed hearing the case regarding the book Belarusian Donbas.

Belsat TV journalists Katsyaryna Andreyeva and Darya Chultsova were transferred from the pre-trial detention centre Nr 1 in Minsk to the prison in the town of Zhodzina.

“Sometimes the law can wait”

On Monday evening, an ambulance car was called to the detention centre in Akrestsin Street in Minsk; health workers provided first aid to detained Belsat journalist Lyubou Lunyova and took her to the cardiology unit of Hospital #9.
