Economies across the regions of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) may contract on average by 3.5% this year, because of the impact of the coronavirus, with a rebound of 4.8% possible in 2021.

The Belarusian authorities are seeking to get a big loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to back the branches hit by the aftereffect of the so-called coronacrisis.

State institutions in Belarus are developing more slowly than in other Eastern and Central European countries. This conclusion was made by experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the report “Better governance – better economics”.
