Belarusian border guards found the body of a man in his 30s

A year ago, the Minsk-based activist Raman Bandarenka who was savagely beaten allegedly by security forces or Lukashenka’s adherers passed away in hospital.

On Tuesday, the death of 49-year-old bus driver Pavel Sibiliou was reported. On 10 August 2020, amid the post-election protest in Minsk, the man was wounded by a grenade not far from Pushkinskaya metro station, which resulted in grave health impairments. Notably, he was at work on that day.

Aleh Belakoneu, a former head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, ventured upon a controversial statement during Friday’s farewell ceremony for the killed KGB officer Dzmitry Fedasyuk. It was published by the Telegram channel Sputnik Belarus.

In an interview with Interfax Ukraine, the country’s Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky made mention of a visible progress in investigating into the death of Vital Shyshou, a Belarusian citizen and the head of the Belarusian House in Kyiv.

A year ago, Alyaksandr Taraykouski, a 34-year-old resident of Minsk, died during the crackdown on protesters at Pushkinskaya metro station on August, 10. The man, who was approaching a group of soldiers with his hands up, was shot down.

A state of emergency will be declared in the country

The Belarusian authorities are holding off on the decision to hand over the murdered Minsker’s body to his relatives.

The check into Alyaksandr Taraykouski’s case was suspended by the Minsk department of the Belarusian Investigation Committee, TUT.BY reports citing lawyer Alvina Minhazava.
