Youth Union wants to raise professional elite in Belarus

Belarusian Republican Youth Union wants to educate professionals for the country through volunteering and students’ teams.

“The best young people should work in the ministries and departments. Our goal is to raise an elite that tomorrow will rule the country,” said the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Andrei Belyakou.

He believes that there is not enough young people today who can replace the current leaders. Therefore, the Youth Union will actively prepare professional personnel.

“We focus on areas such as student groups, volunteer movement, the movement of the youth squad policing. Through participation in them, young people can be raised as patriots and professionals, as the hard-working, honest and responsible people,” said Belyakou.

The idea that the Belarusian Republican Youth Union has to prepare the new leaders was not so long ago raised by Alyaksandr Lukashenka. His decree prolonged the government funding for association for 2016-2017 but asked it to become self-sustainable within three years.
