Will COVID-19 epidemic destroy Lukashenka?

Who will take part in the election and why? Who stands behind the candidates and what goals do they have? These political scenarios are of interest to the majority. The Chairman of the Congress of Democratic Trade Unions, Alyaksandr Yarashuk, who could have become the single candidate for presidency, answers the questions.

Lukashenka has gone too deep into his parallel reality, where he is not afraid of either COVID-19 or annexation from Russia, said the guest of the “Conversation ProContra” program and Chairman of the Congress of Democratic Trade Unions Alyaksandr Yarashuk.

“This could end very badly for him. He’ll get his neck snapped. He’ll do anything to make it happen. Of course, he will be helped in this,” says Mr Yarashuk.

The head of state treats the sacral issues of life and death, the danger of serious illness inappropriately.

“In fact, not 170 people have died in our country. Their number is 20, maybe 30 times more. And there are relatives behind each of this tragic fate,” says Yarashuk about the public mood adding that Lukashenka has created a parasitic state, unable to support its citizens, during the long time of his rule.
