Steven Seagal stars in promo film of Belarusian game World of Warships (video)

U.S. actor Steven Seagal has appeared in a promo video of World of Warships, a computer game which was invented and developed by the Belarusian company Wargame.

In the film, Seagal teaches the elements of aikido to a lost wanderer, shows him how to break boards and becomes his sparring partner. In turn, the traveller brings the master of martial arts into the world of games for present-day ‘warriors’.

The description says that any gamer has a chance to turn into Steven Seagal, the captain of a warship. However, judging by the comments on Youtube, not all fans liked the actor’s new image. “Sorry for Seagal… Once he was a real macho,” one of the viewers said.

World of Warships is a naval-themed massively multiplayer online game produced by international game developer and publisher Wargaming, a company of Belarusian origin, which, however, is headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus. The game features aspects similar to World of Tanks.

In late August, Steven Seagal visited Belarus and met with Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka. The latter treated the Hollywood star to a carrot from his garden, which greatly amused Internet users.
