The new Ambassador of Belarus to the United States, Aleh Krauchanka, plans to leave for Washington in August, BelTA writes.

During the session with the participation of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makey noted that a good basis has already been laid for the development of the bilateral relations with the USA, the Belarusian Ambassador is known there and has been long awaited. “The Charge d’Affaires ad interim (Jennifer Moore – BelTA) even said: the sooner it will be, the better. We plan that he will go there in August,” said the minister.

“In America, we will have to start all over again. Will he manage?” asked Lukashenka.

According to Makey, Aleh Krauchanka, who will work in Washington, has a wide range of connections in various U.S. government agencies, it will help him in his work.

“A lot will depend on your work. We will discuss this in detail later, I will pass some things on through the minister. We will need support and assistance from the United States, especially during this period in the financial sphere in connection with the coronavirus,” said Lukashenka.
