Vitaut graffiti vandalized in Hrodna

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The famous image of Vitaut in the transformer box in Hrodna was damaged with red paint. Vandals probably wanted to get in the face of the Grand Duke of Lithuania, but slightly missed the mark.

Unknown persons desecrated the famous Duke Vitaut graffiti in Hrodna. It was painted on the background of his castle’s panorama. Apparently, the vandals got prepared for the action — it is not so easy to damage with paint an image at a height of 4-5 meters. The paint was probably poured into a bag or shallow glass container, which broke from hitting the wall.

Interestingly, in the area of new residential buildings on the Pushkin street had been installed a lot of cameras covering the area of the playground and the transformer box. Will the police examine the camera footage to find the vandals?

The graffiti of Vitaut on the transformer box on Pushkin Street in Hrodna appeared about a year ago – in the autumn of 2014. It was done in the framework of the project ‘MustAct-MustArt’ totally legally, with the support of local authorities and the company Velcom. The graffiti was painted by an artist under the pseudonym Silen from Svetlahorsk.
