US renews sanctions against 'Belvneshpromservice'

US suspects one of three (apart from “Belvneshpromservice” arms are sold by “Belspetsvneshtechnika” and “Beltechexport”) Belarusian arms exporters of violating the American law on non-proliferation of technologies for the production of weapons of mass destruction.

This is stated in the US Department of State report, which will be published on July 5, ej.by reports.

Sanctions are introduced for two years. According to the US government, the company is suspected of supplying Iran, North Korea and Syria with banned technologies that can be used to produce weapons of mass destruction and missile technology.

“Belvneshpromservice” was created in 1991.

The State Department sanctions list features more than 40 individuals and legal entities from China, Iraq, Iran, Malaysia, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and Uganda. Russia in the “black list” is represented by the Moscow Design Bureau (KB) “Kuntsevo”, KBM Kolomna and the 150th aircraft repair plant in Kaliningrad.

On September 19, 2012 US Treasury Department accused the Belarusian company of supplying fuses for Syrian air bombs.
