The State Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice has collected 55 million hryvnias and 1 million dollars in favor of Ukraine from the Cyprus companies Erosaria LTD and Aldoza Investments Limited, associated with the ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and former high-ranking officials, UNIAN reports.
The information came from Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine for Executive Service Svetlana Glushchenko, the press service of the agency reports.
“The refund in favor of the state of Ukraine took place during the execution of the court’s verdict on the use of special confiscation with the forcible withdrawal of the funds of Erosaria LTD and Aldoza Investments Limited, which were deposited in AB Ukrgazbank, in favor of the state,” Glushchenko noted.
The deputy minister clarified that on May 7, the above-mentioned funds were received in a deposit account of the State Executive Service of Ukraine for both proceedings. On February 22, it was reported that UAH 1.5 billion confiscated from Yanukovych’s entourage were transferred to the bank account of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.
