Maples, ashes and pines were planted on a wastelot by members of the unregistered Belarusian Christian Democracy party, initiators of the campaign ‘For High-quality Medicine in Vitsebsk’ and local residents.

“All that we are able to do on our own, we do on our own. But we are not able to build polyclinic complex in Bileva – it is the task of Vitsebsk authorities that have forgotten their promises. I want other residents of Bileva – their number almost reached 30,000 – to create the conditions for a better life themselves,” Tatsiana Sevyarynets, the leader of the campaign ‘For High-quality Medicine in Vitsebsk’, said.

In January 2014, Mikhail Zhyzneuski, a citizen of Belarus, was shot in the heart during the protests on Kyiv’s Maidan. In August 2015, seriously wounded Ales Charkashyn, a Belarusian volunteer fighter in Donbas, slipped into a coma and died.
