The official presentation of the Year of Science in Belarus was held at the National Academy of Sciences.
On January 6, at the inauguration of the Year of Science, in the main building of National Academy of Sciences, Belarusian scientists presented main directions of their activities and priorities of scientific development for the current year, as well as introduced to the media their most significant and breakthrough projects in various fields of knowledge.
According to BelaPAN, at the presentation scientists also highlighted the development of science for the economy.
This is what the head of state expects from scientists. Lukashenka has repeatedly appealed to academics with requests “to not be parasites” and “benefit the state”.
