Hrodna travels -- without visa but with pass

Grodno

Hrodna

In two months, foreign tourists will be able to visit the Belarus-based Auhustauski Canal and adjacent districts of the Hrodna region and Hrodna itself without a visa.

It looks like that there will be in place the same scheme as in the case of the “Bialowieza Forest” National Park which foreigners can visit without a visa. To do this, you need to obtain a special document.

Foreigners may stay in the Bialowieza Forest for up to three days without a visa if they possess:

– valid passport or other document replacing the passport for travel abroad and issued by the appropriate authority of the State of nationality or habitual residence of the foreigner or an international organization

– document that gives foreigner the right to visit the National Park

The questionnaire, based on which foreigners are issued a permit to enter and stay in the forest is published on the website of the National Park. It needs to be downloaded, filled in and sent out. The approved and sent back to the applicant application becomes a pass that allows you to cross the border and stay in an area defined for tourist visits. This pass can be purchased, for example, together with a tourist trip to the Polish travel agencies. It is also possible to get it independently — online through the “Bialowieza Forest” National Park page by paying for tourist services in advance.
