In the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, which has been in quarantine since April 5, the coronavirus was found in 150-200 people, including the abbot, RBC writes.

In the Lavra, which is run by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC MP), all priests were infected with coronavirus. Also, monks, teachers and students of the Kyiv Theological Academy, which is located on the territory of the Lavra, got sick — about 150-200 people in total, Metropolitan Klement, the head of the informational and educational department of the UOC MP, told RBC.

According to the Metropolitan, most clerics are recovering. Three people had died from the coronavirus, he added.

The quarantine was introduced in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra on April 5 after the first patients were identified.

As of April 26, 8,617 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in Ukraine.
