Several soldiers were poisoned in one of the military units of Pukhavichy garrison. They were later hospitalized, MLYN.BY reports.
According to official representative of the Defense Ministry of Belarus Natallia Haurusik, on March 6, 13 soldiers of one of the military units of Pukhavichy garrison applied for medical assistance in connection with the poisoning. They were hospitalized in the main military clinical medical center of the Armed Forces in Minsk.
According to the head of the center, Ihar Kasinski, the soldiers feel fine, their condition is satisfactory. They will soon be discharged.
Natallia Haurusik noted that only soldiers and not officers or sergeants were poisoned.
“It turned out that all these soldiers had tasted explosives. Why did they do it? It’s hard to say. There are no initiation rituals for soldiers when they need to eat explosives in the Belarusian army,” she said.
According to her, they could not have been poisoned by the food they had received in this military unit of Pukhavichy garrison, as there would have been many more victims.
