Ukrainian activists, policemen and Security Service have given a talk to a group of Belarusians, who came to Zhytomyr region with St. George ribbons on their car.

The incident occurred on June, 11 in the town of Korosten. The Belarusians left their car decorated with St. George’s ribbons near the central market.

“Separatists in Donbas decorate their equipment, pseudo flags and mark their fighters with these ribbons. It is not surprising that they were noticed by local activists, who immediately called the police and the Security Service. To prevent the Belarusians from driving away, the activists blocked their car,” locals says on Facebook.

A bit later the police arrived, drew up a protocol and held a conversation with them.

“Belarusians, who were always welcome, cut the ribbons off with trembling hands, and promised that they would never do it again,” they say.

The activists stress that separatism in Donetsk was starting with St. George ribbons, Russian colours, banners ‘Putin, save us!’ And now there is war, they say.
