Five explosions occurred at the building of the police station of the Novoselitsky district of Russia’s Stavropol region in the North Caucasian Federal District.

There were four attackers, Russian news agency TASS reports with reference to a source in the local police. According to the source, all of them were killed — three blew themselves up and one was shot down. There have been no casualties among the civilians and law enforcement officers.

It is not the first attack on law enforcement that has happened in the south of Russia over the recent years. On March 29, two explosives were detonated on the way of a police convoy in Dagestan, a federal republic of Russia. One police officer was killed and two were wounded. A group tied to Daesh took responsibility for the attack.

A day later, a driver blew himself during the inspection of his VAZ 2110  at a checkpoint in Dagestan. As a result, one policeman was killed and one wounded. Islamic State militants took credit for the incident.

After the tragic event, Vladimir Vladimirov,  the governor of the Stavropol Krai, ordered to tighten control over the vehicles driving into the region.
