Russians sent back from Kyiv to Minsk

Over the last few days, over 85 citizens of the Russian Federation were returned from Kyiv to Minsk. This information was confirmed by the State Border Committee of Belarus.

The Russians, who flew from Minsk to Kyiv (Zhuliany airport), were not allowed in by the border guard service of Ukraine. As a result, they were returned back to the National Airport Minsk-2.

The official representative of the State Border Committee Anton Bychkousky noted that all these Russians were delivered to Belarus by various carriers, including foreign ones. When asked whether Belarusian border guards linked such frequent cases of Russians returning from Kyiv with the recently imposed martial law, Bychkousky said, “It’s hard to tell. The Ukrainian Border Guard Service has the right and competence not to let in the country certain citizens. ”

Earlier the Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim noted that he does not associate the fact that Russians are not allowed to enter Kyiv with the introduction of martial law.

“If at the border a person cannot explain why they had arrived, it causes questions with the border service about their sincerity. As far as I understand, these Russians could not give a reason. Russians have this problem — in the post-Soviet countries they feel like the hosts, not the guests,” said Kizim.

From November 26 to December 26, martial law is in force in 10 regions of Ukraine. This is due to the crisis in the Kerch Strait, when Russian border ships attacked and captured Ukrainian boats.
