Siloviki detain 'Legalize Belarus' members near Minsk


Siloviki have detained participants of the party organized by the movement “Legalize Belarus” in honor of their anniversary.

Activist Piotr Markelau announced this in his “Facebook” .

“We were detained by special police in camouflage with guns. They detained 27 people. Looking for controlled substances. Found none!” Piotr Markelau wrote.

The police detained him at approximately 3:00, then the participants were taken to the Baraulyany police department. The police copied the personal data of the detainees, and later – all of them were released.

According to Piotr Markelau, five people were fined for drinking alcohol in the public place.
