Soviet passport holder attempts to cross Belarus-Ukraine border

A 49-year-old man was detained at the checkpoint Makrany. Crossing the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, he showed somebody else’s passport.

“According to the man, his own passport misfits: he has not yet been found an opportunity to get a Belarusian passport instead of that of the USSR,” the Belarusian State Border Committee reports.

Being eager to go abroad, he decided to use his brother’s passport. The citizen of the non-existing USSR may be charged with misdemeanour.
