Solidary with Ukraine? You are Nazi! Lukashenka’s representative slams Belarusian fans


Henadz Davydzka, the head of the Belarusian Television and Radio Company and an official representative of presidential candidate Alyaksandr Lukashenka, has blasted Belarusian football fans for their ‘behaviour’ at the the qualifying football match Belarus-Ukraine.

The match was held in Lviv n September, 5. Before the game, a joint march of Ukrainian and Belarusian fans under the banner of solidarity was organized. The participants were holding banners ‘Brotherhood of Conscience’ and ‘For Freedom – Ours and Yours’. Many were dressed in shirts with the image of Ukrainian and Belarusian flags and the words ‘Together Forever’.

“What does this fraternizing of Ukrainian and Belarusian fans mean? Newspaper ‘Narodnaya Gazeta’ has fallen into hysterics about the match in Lviv. What does this Belaruian solidarity mean? Against whom are they solidary? What has Russia done to them? ” the former actor said in TV program ‘Editors’ Club’.

Henadz Davydzka wondered why there had been no response from the Belarusian Football Federation and why our country had been representatives by ‘young Nazis’.

“What do these youngsters hold against Russia, against modern Russian youth, against Russian culture? Are we the target for their tanks?” he said.
