Smuggler’s lifehack: Belarus border guards stop unmanned railcar (video)

Belarus’ video control system spotted an unusual means of illegal goods transportation which was moving from the Lithuanian side on January, 11.

A border detail stopped a makeshift metal railcar 200 meters from the Belarusian-Lithuanian border. The unmanned homemade device looks like a trolley in miniature. The electric motor drived by two batteries set it in motion. In such a trolley, it is easy to carry smuggled goods, e.g. blocks of cigarettes.

According to the Belarusian Border Committee, smugglers must have used the railcar for testing the situation and the route. It is not ruled out that the trolley was back in Belarus after it had successfully carried certain goods to Lithuania.

Now the Belarusian side is establishing identities of those who might have been involved in the illegal activity at the border.
