S-300 missile system accident near Polatsk


An official representative of the Defense Ministry of Belarus, Natallia Haurusik, has confirmed that on August 8, the S-300 missile system went off the road near Polatsk.

“A small traffic accident occurred today. The complex without the ammunition was moving in the convoy at a speed of 30 km/h. The driver lost control of the vehicle. No one was injured as a result of the accident,” BelTA learned from the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, this incident was reported by the blogger NEXTA. According to him, the equipment “was seriously damaged”. “The preliminary version (the investigation has just begun) is that the military driver fell asleep behind the wheel of a combat vehicle due presumably in a state of fatigue,” says NEXTA.
