Russian oligarch Gutseriyev spoke about 'mysterious residence' of Lukashenka

In an interview with TUT.by, Russian oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev spoke about the mysterious residence of Alyaksandr Lukashenka near Radashkovichy. Belsat was the first to write about this villa in January 2017.

“One day the president told me that the Presidential Affairs Office owned a recreation center near the lake. He said it was very neglected and they did not have the money to renovate it. He also said I was settling down and I should stop going back and forth — flying in in the morning and flying out in the evening. ” It was a recreation center “Krasnaselskaye”, an old building, which I bought for money, having paid it to the budget of Belarus. I did not want to build a big house at once. But then, having visited that place, I saw that the nature there is indescribable and I agreed. I still have an obligation to build a church nearby for the parishioners. I think next year we will build it. Therefore, with this story, everything is simple. Without back thoughts. I want to link my future with Belarus,” he said.

On the site of the villa near Radashkovichy, there used to be the recreational center of the Presidential Administration called “Krasnaselskaye.” The land for the residence was leased by Sertus Avia for 100 years, a structure affiliated with Russian businessman Mikhail Gutseriyev, who has strong business interests in Belarus. The complex’s buildings are owned by the Cyprus offshore company Blatberg Holdings Limited. It is known that Lukashenka regularly visits this villa, and therefore it is called the “mysterious residence” of the president. The investigation of “Belsat” about the villa near Radashkovichy a year ago caused a big resonance.

According to the oligarch, the estate looks like this: “One house for owners, a guest house for 6 families, a gym. A dining room and summer tennis court. My friends and company employees stop at my place. ”

Gutseriyev considers the criticism of Lukashenka in connection with this story to be unfair.

“I swear I built my house using my own money. I can show you the source of every penny,” he stressed.

According to Gutseriyev, this is normal when a rich man buys a home in a country where he spends a lot of time.

“Instead of writing that he invested in Belarus several tens of millions of dollars, created new jobs, pays taxes, they wrote that this is Lukashenka’s next residence. How unfair is that … It does not have anything to do with the president. I do not like being criticized for no reason,” he said.

Gutseriyev also said that he never gave “Maybach” as a gift to Lukashenka. In 2012 Lukashenka said that he received a “Maybach” from a Russian man, and the media suggested that it was Gutseriyev.

“It is not true. I never gave Lukashenka cars. I did not give anything outside the protocol,” Gutseriyev said.
