The Russian opposition politician and former owner of the Yukos oil company, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, has commented on Facebook on the situation with the organochlorine in Russian oil, supplied via the Druzhba pipeline to Belarus and other European countries.

According to him, the problem most likely arose on a well-known pipeline part in the Samara Region, which previously belonged to Yukos and now belonging to the Rosneft company. As the politician noted, the roots of the problem lie in the fact that in May 2012, Russia banned the use of chloro-organics to enhance the oil recovery of the reservoir. When heated, it released chlorine thus destroying metal coatings.
In his opinion, at the Samara deposits with paraffin oil chloroorganic substances may give a “decent increase”. On a small village metering station in Samara, they could either “miss” the oil supply with a large share of impurities or take it intentionally, “because arguing with the Sechin (Igor Sechin’s Rosneft — Belsat.eu) won’t get you anywhere”.
“It is beneficial for the company not to completely clear the drilling fluid, as they measure the volume,” said Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
According to him, employees of the Russian Ministry of Energy or the minister “should be professionals and not succumb to the pressure of idiots seeking to show Putin that they know how to manage oil companies and increase oil production at no cost.” The politician is sure that there will be no truth about the incident from the FSB and the Investigative Committee.
In his opinion, the reputation of the Russian export mix was dealt a serious blow. This will affect the discount and the income of all companies, he stressed.
