Russian Foreign Ministry employs Steven Seagal


US actor Steven Seagal has been appointed Special Representative on Russian-American cultural ties, the Kremlin diplomats said on Facebook.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the will not receive money for his work in this post.

In 2013, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Steven Seagal’s being admitted to the citizenship of the Russian Federation.

The U.S. actor is known for his roles in action films. He has appeared in nearly 50 films, including Half past Dead, Submerged, Today You Die and Machete.

In late August, Steven Seagal visited Belarus and met with Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka. The latter treated the Hollywood star to a carrot from his garden, which greatly amused Internet users. The US star also appeared in a promo video of World of Warships, a computer game which was invented and developed by the Belarusian company Wargame.
