French actor and Russian citizen Gerard Depardieu has voted at the polling station in the Russian embassy in Paris.
Facebook user Andrei Vaitovich has published a photo that shows the celebrity casting his ballot.
In January 2013, Russian president Vladimir Putin presented Depardieu with a Russian passport for his ‘contribution to culture and cinema’. The French actor also visited Russia’s Saransk; the local authorities offered him a flat or a house in the town.
Meanwhile, voter turnout in the Russian presidential election stands at 52.97%, according to the latest data (as of 18:00 Moscow time), Russia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) reports.
